On February the 21st I had an art show previewing the works I will be taking with me to New York next month. It was an incredible night. I was so engaged that I didn’t take any pictures.

Below is the invitation I sent out to friends, family, collectors and gallery professionals. It’s long, but includes a bit more information about my current ventures.

 

Dear friends,

As many of you know I have made the decision to pursue my art career full time. To really reach the global market I know that I need to put my work on a global stage. Well that’s happening. But I need help getting there. What better way to raise funds than to have a great party?

I have been accepted to ArtExpo NY in April of this year. I’m so excited, any expression here would be an understatement. All the biggest publishers and galleries worldwide attend this event each year.

The show is now only 2 months away. I have created the body of work I’ll be presenting. I have secured confirmation of my booth. I have purchased plane tickets and am arranging the shipping. Now. .. I am having a party to help pay for it all and to show off my newest works. (I’ve attached a few images to this email)

Please join me on Saturday, February 21st. See my newest paintings. Listen to some great music, have some wine and food, and help me celebrate this next step in my career.

For the past 18 years, Michele has built her career in the gallery industry as a gallery director and art consultant.  She has been a commissioned portrait artist for nearly as long.

Recently, Michele has decided to focus exclusively on her own goals as an artist.  Since November, she has taken space here at Venus Studios & Art Supply full time in order to build inventory for Art Expo New York in April.  This show offers a preview to our friends and guests of the work Michele will have available for sale at Art Expo NY.

Posters,  limited edition prints, and originals will be available for purchase.  All proceeds from this event will benefit the artist’s travel and shipping expenses for the Art Expo.
